Dr. Thomai A. Chouvarda is Assistant Professor for ‘Sources and Research Methods of Church Literature and History’ at the Faculty of Theology, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTh). She studied Theology at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. She attended postgraduate studies in Patristics at the same University and in Theology and Byzantine Studies at the Ludwig-Maximilians University in Munich (LMU), Germany (Greek State Scholarships Foundation-IKY). She worked as a Research Assistant at the LMU Munich Department of Orthodox Theology, as a teacher of Theology in Secondary Education in Greece, as Academic Teaching Staff in the AUTh Department of Church History, Christian Literature, Archaeology and Art specializing in Church Literature and as a visiting professor in the Department of Theology and Culture, University College “Logos” of Tirana. Her research interests lie in the Sources of Church Literature and History, Introduction to Theology, as well as the Methodology of Scientific Theological Research.
