Short CV Presentation

Dr Katerina Angelopoulou is a professor of the Laboratory of Biochemistry and Toxicology, School of Veterinary Medicine, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTh). She received her PhD from the Department of Clinical Biochemistry at the University of Toronto, Canada. Following the completion of her doctoral studies, she worked for four years as a postdoctoral fellow in research laboratories in Canada, Cyprus, and Greece. In 2001, she was appointed lecturer at the Laboratory of Biochemistry and Toxicology, School of Veterinary Medicine, AUTh, where she has continued her academic career and currently serves as professor. Her research interests focus primarily on the characterization and study of the expression of genes involved in carcinogenesis, using animal experimental models. She authors 56 articles in peer-reviewed scientific journals and has presented her research work at 90 national and international scientific conferences.
