Short CV Presentation

Professor Iliana Zarra is a faculty member of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, since 2020, where she has also taught several graduate and undergraduate courses since 1998. From 2007 to 2020, she was a faculty member of the University of Patras at the Department of Cultural Heritage Management and New Technologies and the Depatment of History and Archaeology. Her experience is in the history of art and her research interests focus on the artistic activity in the mainland of Greece during the period from Modern Greek Enlightenment to the early 20th century as well as on the interpretation of artistic phenomena during the First World War and during the Interwar period in Greece and in the international artistic scene. She has a rich record of publications in the fields of History of Art and Culture. She has authored 5 books and 4 monographs. She has co-authored more than 40 pubications in scientific journals, conference procceedings and collective volumes. In addition, her professional experience in the field of history of arts and culture is extensive. She has participated as a Scientific Assistant in more than 8 Research Programmes funded by the Byzantine Research Centre (BRS) and the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.
