George Kallinis was born in Thessaloniki, Greece. He is a graduate of the Department of Philology, Faculty of Philosophy, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, with a specialization in Medieval and Modern Greek Studies. He has also a DPhil and a PhD from the same Department.
