Dr Dimitris K. Karpouzos is a Professor at the Department of Hydraulics, Soil Science and Agricultural Engineering at School of Agriculture of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTh). He holds a Diploma and PhD in Civil – Water Resources Engineering. His main research interests lie in the field of Water Resources and Irrigation Systems-Networks Management and Optimization, Hydroinformatics, Simulation and optimization models in Surface and Groundwater Hydrology, Climate Change, and Floods – Drought analysis. He has participated in several national and EU projects and has published a lot of articles in scientific journals and congress proceedings. He has served, among others, as editorial board and guest editor of national and international scientific journals, former President of Hellenic Hydrotechnical Union, and is a current Board member of UNESCO Cat. II Center for Integrated and Multidisciplinary Water Resources Management.
