I grew up in Lefkada. I have studied Greek literature with specialization in linguistics at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. After completing my postgraduate studies in Clinical Linguistics at the Universities of Potsdam (Germany) and Groningen (Netherlands) I returned to Thessaloniki where I completed my PhD studies in Psycholinguistics/Neurolinguistics at the Department of Philology of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. During my doctoral studies I have been a visiting researcher at the University of Groningen and have attended summer schools and seminars on statistics and methodology as well as assessment and intervention in language disorders. I have worked from 2010 to 2022 as a research associate at the universities Goethe Univeristät Frankfurt/Main, Humboldt Universität zu Berlin and Freie Universität Berlin. Since 2022 I am an assistant professor of Psycholinguistics and Neurolinguistics at the Department of German Language and Literature. My interests are acquired and developmental language disorders, the relationship between language and executive functions, bilingualism, real-time language processing, experimental syntax, research methodology and statistical analysis. My research focuses on German and Greek.
