AIKATERINI MANDALAKI studied History, Archaeology, and Classics at the University of Crete, School of Philosophy, Department of History and Archaeology (1979-1983). She completed her PhD at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, School of Philosophy, Department of History and Archaeology (1995). Since 2019, she has held the position of Scientific and Laboratory Teaching Staff at the School of Philosophy, Department of History and Archaeology, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. Prior to joining the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, she taught at the Hellenic Open University (2004-2010, 2015-2017). She also has extensive student teaching experience in secondary public schools. She began her research career as a doctoral fellow at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, School of History and Archaeology (1986-1992). Her research interests include ancient Greek history (institutional, social, and economic history), ancient Greek epigraphy, ancient Greek religion, and ancient Greek law. She has presented her research in numerous conferences in Greece and abroad. She has published several articles in academic journals and Conference Proceedings. She has also authored the following monograph: Mandalaki, A. I. 2004. Koinonia kai oikonomia sten Krete kata ten archaike kai ten klasike epoche. Herakleion, Crete: Bikelaia Demotike Bibliotheke.
