Short CV Presentation

I hold a PhD in Nuclear Physics from the Department of Physics of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, with research focused on experimental and computational studies of nuclear reactions, nuclear data evaluation, and applications of nuclear physics in astrophysics, space, and medical physics. My doctoral thesis concerned the study of ionizing radiation fields in accelerator facilities. Prior to that, I completed an MSc in Electronic Physics (Radioelectronics) and a BSc in Physics at the same department.

I have worked as a postdoctoral researcher at the Institute of Nuclear and Particle Physics of NCSR “Demokritos”, at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, at the Culham Centre for Fusion Energy (UK), and as a visiting researcher at LAPP (France) and CERN (ISOLDE and the n-TOF collaboration). I have also collaborated with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) in projects related to nuclear data evaluation, where I currently serve as a research collaborator.

My research includes experimental studies of nuclear reactions at astrophysical energies, cross-section measurements and evaluations, R-matrix calculations, and Monte Carlo simulations using Geant4 for applications in radiation detectors, dosimetry, space radiation environments, and neutron experiments. I have also worked on environmental radioactivity measurements and radiation risk assessment, and I actively participate in international research collaborations and projects.
