Dr. Evangelos Anastasiou (M) is an Assistant Professor (tenure-track) and a Faculty Member of the Laboratory of Agricultural Engineering at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, specializing in Agricultural Engineering. He also serves as Associate Editor of the journal Smart Agricultural Technology, published by ELSEVIER. His research interests include agricultural machinery and new technologies in agriculture, the development of decision support systems, human–machine interaction in agro-technology, circular economy, and life cycle analysis. His doctoral dissertation focused on the application of Precision Agriculture in table grapes. He also holds a Master’s degree in “Modern Systems of Agricultural Production in the Mediterranean Area with an Emphasis on Sustainable Production and the Use of New Technologies,” with a specialization in “Agricultural Engineering – Natural Resource Management.” His Master’s thesis concerned the use of proximal sensing technologies for the evaluation of crop varieties (lentil and vetch varieties). His Bachelor’s degree is in Agriculture with a specialization in arable crop cultivation, and his undergraduate thesis focused on rapeseed varieties. He has participated in more than 20 projects (private, national, and international), accumulating a total of 13 years of research experience. He is a member of the Young Professional Network (YPN) committee of the European Society of Agricultural Engineers (EurAgEng). He has more than 60 publications, including book chapters, journal articles, research project reports, and conference papers.
