Short CV Presentation

I was born and raised in Thessaloniki. I am a graduate of the School of History and Archaeology/Faculty of Philosophy, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (1999 B.A. in History, 2002 M.A. in Byzantine History, 2007 Ph.D.).

I worked for two years at the Centre for Byzantine Research – Aristotle University of Thessaloniki as a collaborator in the research project “Dictionary of Byzantine Terminology. Economic Terms” (2003, 2004, 2007). I have been serving as a Lecturer (2009-2017) and, since 2017, as an Assistant Professor of Byzantine History in the Department of Ancient Greek, Roman, Byzantine and Medieval History / School of History and Archaeology, Faculty of Philosophy, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.

I have authored three books, nineteen articles, three book reviews and edited three collective volumes. I have written seventeen conference papers and made ten scientific lectures in research and academic institutions at both national and foreign universities. I am a collaborator in the research project “Dictionary of Byzantine Terminology. Economic-Fiscal Terms” and a Director in the research project “Prosopography of Byzantine Thessaloniki” of the Department of History of the Centre for Byzantine Research/AUTH.
