Dr. Christoforidis Dimitrios received his diploma in Production and Management Engineering in 1990 from the Technical University of Crete, and his PhD from the Department of Production and Management Engineering of the Democritus University of Thrace in 2009.
From 1991 to 2005 he worked as a Production & Management Engineer in the private sector in companies and industrial units such as THENAMARIS SHIPS MANAGEMENT INC., PYRAMIS SA Metal Industry, Group of companies I. LAINOPOULOU (PROMOT), KARINA SA Plastics Industry, PILUX & DANPEX SA Lighting & Electrical Panel Industry, and Hellenic Defense Systems SA (EVO-PYRKAL).
From March 2005 to June 2019, he worked as a Laboratory Teaching Staff (LTS) at the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering of Democritus University of Thrace and since 2019 he has been a member as a LTS of the Department of Mechanical Engineering of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.
He has taught in public and private schools (IEKs and KEKs), as well as in Labor Employment Agency schools during the period 1996 to the present.
He has taught at the Department of Production and Management Engineering of the Democritus University of Thrace as well as an adjunct professor at the Department of Mechanical Engineering of the Technological Educational Institution (T.E.I.) of Kavala as well as at the Alexandrio T.E.I. of Thessaloniki.
He has participated in the writing of 36 scientific papers, 13 of which are in peer-reviewed scientific journals.
His research interests focus on the measurement of gaseous pollutants from biofuel combustion in Internal Combustion Engines (ICEs) as well as on their constructional improvement with the aim of reducing their pollutants. His scientific interests also extend to Mechatronics.
