Dr Georgios Bilas is Teaching Staff (E.DI.P. Laboratory Teaching Staff) in the Laboratory of Applied Soil Science, Department of Hydraulics, Soil science and Agricultural Engineering, School of Agriculture, Faculty of Agriculture, Forestry and National Environment, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. He holds a B.Sc. in Agriculture, M.Sc. in Land Reclamation, Soil Science and Agricultural Engineering, and a Ph.D. in Soil Science and Management of Soil Resources.

His scientific interests lay in the fields of soil mapping, soil genesis and classification, soil resources quality and management, and land suitability evaluation.

He has also more than 15 scientific publications, and he has been involved to at least 10 European co-funded projects.
