CURRICULUM VITAE

Areti Tzintziova was born in Namata, Voio, Kozani. In 1983 she graduated from the School of French Language and Literature of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki with a grade of “Very Good”. During her undergraduate studies, she chose courses of Folklore and Social Anthropology as electives from the undergraduate curriculum of the then unified School of Philosophy, in which she was examined and graded successfully. In 1987 she graduated from the School of Pastoral and Social Theology of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki with a grade of “Excellent”. Along with her studies at the School of Pastoral and Theology, in the year 1983-1984, she enrolled in the Postgraduate Program of Folklore and Social Anthropology and attended the postgraduate seminars directed by Alki Kyriakides-Nestoros and Eleonora Skouteri-Didaskalou. Since 1984 she has been working at the Study of Folklore and Social Anthropology and at the Folklore Museum and Archive of the Faculty of Philosophy.

From the academic year 2017-18 she provides teaching support to courses of Folklore and Social Anthropology of the School of History and Archaeology, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (LAK 101 and 151: Introduction to Folklore and Social Anthropology and LAK 201: Theory and History of Folklore and Social Anthropology).

During the years 2005 – 2010 she actively participated in the organization of the new exhibition of the Folklore Museum and Archive of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, as well as in research projects related to the Library of Folklore and Social Anthropology and the Folklore Museum and Archive of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.
