Short CV Presentation

Anastasia Papavasileiou is a postdoctoral researcher in the field of Kinesiology, focusing on improving postural control through innovative stimulation of the proprioceptive  system, particularly targeting children with cerebral palsy and the elderly.

Originating from Kastoria, she has earned her Ph.D. in Kinesiology from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. Her thesis addressed the spinal excitability of the motor neuron during postural perturbations in elderly and young adults.

She has worked as a Physical Education Teacher, Statistical Analyst, and Biomechanist across various educational and research institutions throughout Europe and has participated in a plethora of international conferences, presenting her research work.
