Alexandra‑Maria Michaelidou is a Professor (Human Nutrition) at the Department of Food Science & Technology, School of Agriculture, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTH). She teaches Nutrition & Metabolism, Biochemistry, and Food Chemistry courses. Her research investigates the nutritional aspects and health‑promoting attributes of bioactive food components, and the assessment of dietary intake and dietary patterns in relation to health and sustainability outcomes in targeted population groups. In recent years, she has also explored how maternal nutritional status affects the compositional profile of human biological fluids during pregnancy.
